2 emotional days

April 1, 2009 · Posted in About_nimbleogre, friends and family · 1 Comment

Monday and Tuesday where very emotional times. We celebrated the life and times of Jonny Sadassy and said our final good byes.

The send off for Jonny way amazing. 600 people came to celebrate his life and in true Jonny style they where people of all ages and from as may different backgrounds as you can imagine. Jonny will be missed by alot of people It was the sort of thing he would having been kicking him self for missing. Lots of tears, laughter, beautiful readings music and songs. Mims reading I found particularly moving and she was very strong and beautiful reading it in front of so any.

The crematorium service was of a more of a cathartic experience and a chance to properly say good bye. It was very touching and moving. Barb was amazing mixing humor sentiment and emotion in a simple farewell. Although it was such a sad occasion it was really nice to spend some time with people I don’t get to see much of any more. I love Barb and it was a privilege to spend some quite time talking to her while she wrote her speech and told me stories of the life of her son.

I realized why his death has hit me so hard.
I grew up with very few close friends. Being home schooled I wasn’t typical in having a gang of mates I had a few local friends but on the whole I would look forward to my close friends coming to visit. Jonny really was one of the people who informed my childhood and was there for some of the happiest times of my life. I will miss these care free childhood days for the rest of my life and it’s devastating not to be able to sit down with Jon and recount these memories with him. In losing him I have lost a part of my past as well.

I didn’t know him in the same way alot of people knew him at the services. I grew up with Jonny and knew him as a boy but lose touch more and more as we grew up. I want to remember him as a whole. It’s important to capture in my mind the totality of the person who has gone. Forgive and them all their negative aspects but don’t forget them as that is a part of their totality. I will remember all aspects of Jonny not only the good points and in doing so I a hope a small part of him will live on in my memories.

R.I.P JONNY ‘RHYTHM’ SEDASSY – 32 years is far too short but you live life twice as much as any one else.

Saying good bye on the 30th

March 19, 2009 · Posted in Uncategorized, friends and family · Comments Off

There have been some lovely comments on Jonny’s Facebook page. A whole lot of people loved him. He touched alot of lives. Main themes are laughter, smiles, food, music and hairiness. Lots of people thanking him for helping them or cheering them up. That’s what he did best, he knew how to enjoy him self and it was infectious. Stubborn, often annoying but he could always make me laugh and was a great antithesis to my more sanguine introspective personality.

I guess I was never that close to Jonny Rythem, the Jon that I knew best was the Jonny Sedassey from my child hood. Those seem such pastoral days now. I associate JD to so many of those time when seemingly we didn’t have a care in a world and we could spend a day messing around on a beach or exploring the woods behind my house in wales. I need to write these memories down.

He will be put to rest on the 30th of march. Going to be a hard day to cope with. But these things are as much a celebration of a persons life as well as a way of saying good bye. I’ll be a wreck by the end of it. I hope I can provide some comfort to his friends and relatives.

The funeral service will take place at:
Soul Survivor Church, 5 Graycaine Road, Watford www.soulsurvivorwatford.co.uk
on the Monday 30th March at 2.30pm.

For information about the funeral and where to send flowers/donations to charity please phone Peddles Undertakers on 01923 772013
Please wear COLOUR and a HAT/SUNNIES

His mother Barbara is a wonderful woman, a friend and practically a second mother. I can’t imagine how she must be feeling right now.
